About Our Client

Our client is a mid size Plastic moulding plant located in Victoria, Australia specialized in manufacturing parts for automobile industry. They are looking for a General Operations Manager to oversee all areas of Production, Assembly, Project Engineering, Maintenance, Materials and Quality Systems. The vital responsibility is not only P&L accountability but also to meet target revenue annually.

Job Description
  • Report to CEO who based in Hong Kong.
  • Development of the company’s Business Plan and annual budget prediction of anticipated sales for the year.
  • Develop budget, implement & monitor feasible business planning to enhance the company competitive power.
  • Define effective Marketing strategies to absorb and attract any potential automotive manufacturers.
  • You will be an extremely credible and results orientated professional with the drive and desire to take the business to the next level
  • Represent the company, in discussions with customers on process, quality and technical issues, at the senior level.
  • Actively participates in the development and maintenance of all Dolphin Products Management System procedures to ensure their successful application.
  • Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods and ensures maximum utilisation of plant, personnel and facilities
  • Evaluate and approves capital expenditure
  • Examine variances and exercises financial control to ensure that manufacturing activities operate at minimum cost.
  • In consultation analyse current annual operating plans in terms of production capacity, resources and technology to ensure that company objectives are capable of being met and safety, quality and cost parameters are achievable.
  • Ensure that all department managers have the necessary resources and support to develop and expand their skill base of their employees. Evaluates and approves resource management
  • Liaise with other key managers on any issues requiring resolution outside the standard operating procedure.
  • Provide leadership and counsel to all department managers to ensure that their activities are consistent with the Company’s goals and their own long term development within the organisation.
  • Appraise staff on an ongoing basis and regularly review performance with subordinates.
  • Employee issue resolution and performance management
  • Chair management meetings and submit reports as required
  • Manage patent registration of new designs and products
Job Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Engineering or business management
  • 10 years experience in plastic molding related capacity, able to lead a large team
  • Plastic manufacturing experience
  • Automotive experience
  • General management experience
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Good communication skills and hardworking
  • Manage for results and analyzing /apply good judgment
  • Continuous Improvements and well practice on team work
