Our client is one the largest global retailer of apparel and household products with offices around the world. Due to recent business expansion, they are looking for an experienced Senior Sourcing Manager to lead the houseware team in their Shenzhen office.

• Investigate, develop and manage suppliers in the Asia-Pacific region to support Strategic Sourcing initiatives. Ensure the selection and management of suppliers providing optimum, quality, delivery, service and value in support of global requirements
• Provide liaison support for supply chain issues
• Measure supplier performance, capability and capacity in order to make appropriate sourcing decisions
• Review the performance of suppliers and maintain a balance suppliers portfolio.
• Work with overseas counterpart for product development and sourcing process to ensure timely decisions and actions are made
• Liaise with suppliers, ensure product specification, testing requirement and quality standard are understood
• Ensure placements are made with right factories. Identify production issues upfront and involve Quality Assurance teams to resolve
• Manage the seasonal quotation process and component costing. Effectively negotiate product and price, and determine creative alternatives to achieve objectives
• Identify and resolve issues with suppliers for pricing, production, quality, shipping in a proactive manner
• Present solutions that mitigate risk while maintaining profitability
• Collaborate cross functionally with the various business partners and suppliers to understand the various business needs and priorities and develop optimal solutions to support these.
  

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred
• 5 years or above solid work experiences gained from overseas buying office or sourcing company with relevant products – small electrical home appliances
• Preferably with solid experiences for the USA market
• Able to supervise a team of 3 or more
• Domestic and International travel required
• High power negotiation skills
• Excellent supplier and sourcing network with ability to make professional assessment and judgement on suppliers’ capabilities and capacity
• Experience with working in a cross-functional team environment
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate
• Collaborative leadership Style with strong influencing and negotiating skill to make things done
• Self starter and passionate in driving excellence
• Fluency in English and Mandarin
